Our Board of Directors

As the President & CEO of Milagro Center since 2011, Barbara Stark supports the mission, vision, and values of this Delray Beach nonprofit organization, which provides innovative afterschool and summer camp programs integrating academic, cultural arts, living values, and mentoring for the community’s most academically at-risk children and teens. 

Before joining Milagro Center in 2011, Barbara served as the Vice President of Strategic Marketing & Brand Management for United Way of Broward County.   And in her prior life in New York, Barbara served as the Sr. Director of Direct Marketing for Avis Worldwide, Inc., Barbara is also an adjunct professor of communications at Broward College.

Barbara holds a Master of Arts degree in Communications from Adelphi University in New York.  She has also earned both her National and Florida Advanced Director Credentials, is a Certified Health Fitness Instructor, and is a graduate of Leadership Delray.  Barbara has served as a Board member of the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce and the City of Delray Beach Education Advisory Board. She is a member of Impact 100 Palm Beach County and volunteers on the Grants Management and Grants Review committees. Barbara is also an active member of the Executive Women of Palm Beach.  In her leisure time, one can find Barbara spending time with her family, going for a run, taking a pilates class, and shopping for shoes.v
