Help the Helpers Initiative FAQ

Q. Are 1099 contracted employees and/or volunteers included?

A. No. This grant is limited to permanent full- and part-time employees on your payroll as of the first May payroll period. It also does not include seasonal employees.

Q. What if an organization has no paid employees?

A. The CEO, whether paid or not, is eligible to receive funds for themselves because we want to recognize the hard work it takes to run an organization.

The Mission of the Chamber of Nonprofit Health and Human Services Agencies in Palm Beach County is to provide a forum to learn from trusted colleagues and an opportunity to provide advocacy for those we serve. Learn more

The Nonprofit Chamber is a safe place for nonprofit leaders, balancing the demands of clients, staff, donors, funders, partners, contractors, regulatory agencies and board members, to be supported, inspired and motivated by others leading a similar journey.

As a founding member of the Nonprofit Chamber, I find the organization meeting my personal and professional goals. The Chamber is a group of professional CEOs and executive directors who can have honest and open conversations regarding governance, human resources, legislative, advocacy, and other issues or concerns. The small group conversations and program presentations continue to assist me in my strategic thinking and agency planning.
