Our Board of Directors

2023-2024

Suzanne Whitbeck

Born in the United States and raised in Guatemala, Suzanne Whitbeck has a degree in clinical psychology from the Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala City.

After living for 2½ years in Lexington , KY, she moved to Jupiter, Florida in 1992.   She volunteered extensively for many years with St. Vincent de Paul of St. Peter’s Catholic Church which is how she first connected with the large community of Hispanic families living in our area.  Suzanne started serving on the board of directors of El Sol in 2010 and then took the position of executive director of The Guatemalan Tomorrow Fund in 2012.  Between these two organizations she was happy to feel like she was supporting the needs of the communities both in rural Guatemala and here in Jupiter.

She also serves on the board of directors of My Clinic, a free health clinic for uninsured and under-insured patients, located here in Jupiter.   In March of 2018 Suzanne felt very honored to accept the position of Executive Director of El Sol, Jupiter’s Neighborhood Resource Center.
